In order to alleviate weight, and to get the required racing cage in, which in SPEC racing is critical, everything has to be removed from the interior of the car.  Front seats, rear seat, center console, carpeting, headliner, airbags, door covers, windows, window regulators, all interior trim, sound deadening pads, Dash comes out temporarily - down to bare metal.
